Where have I been?! Life Update!

I have soooo many life updates to share with everyone that might help to explain where I've been since 2014. I have actually been taking photos and doing sessions. I just have not found the time to post and keep up with my online presence as much as I would have liked, but I am hoping to change that in the very near future! My dream is to grow my photography business and make a career out of it.
Let me start by explaining what I've been up to...
2015 - I graduated college! YAY! Finally! It was a long time coming and not the easiest journey, but man, was it worth it! I got my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

2016 - I got engaged! My sweet Joseph, the man of my dreams, asked me to marry him in the most romantic way possible. I was in hardcore wedding planning mode for about 11 months!

Later in 2016, I also began my teaching career and I am still currently teaching 4th grade ELA. Being a first year teacher required so much extra work and responsibilities that college could have never prepared me for, so teaching and wedding planning took up the rest of my 2016 and early 2017.
2017 - Tied the knot on May 27, 2017. I cannot believe we are about to celebrate our first anniversary!
2018 - Earlier this year, Joseph and I purchased a home and we are in the process of renovating and turning it into our forever dream home. This has been quite the process, but we are looking forward to its completion. A perfect little 19th century school house on the bayou will soon be the Mann Residence!

Hopefully that little timeline gives you some insight as to what I've been up to over the last few years.
Now it's May and the school year is winding down, which has given me a little time for reflection. For a while now I have been daydreaming about getting back into my photography a little more seriously. I LOVE teaching and it will likely be my career for a very long time, but I am hoping to one day have a successful photography career. I hope you share my excitement about what the future has in store for my photography!
Thanks for reading,
-Kari
